What's the Difference Between ABN and TFN?
For those who want to work in Australia or start applying for jobs, whether it's part-time, full-time, or casual positions, you need a tax identification number so that your employer can accurately pay your wages in accordance with the law. There are two types of tax identification numbers: TFN and ABN.
The Australian Tax Office (ATO) manages taxation matters in Australia.
TFN stands for Tax File Number, which is an individual tax identification number.
ABN stands for Australian Business Number, which is a unique identifier for businesses and organizations.
It's important to note that you need to obtain a TFN before you can apply for an ABN.
